The environmental sustainability of live events is an incredibly important topic for our industry and one we passionately believe in at Backstage Academy. As a result, we have developed a specialist short course focused on Sustainable Event Management.
This half day training course provides an overview of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and how they can be implemented in your organisation. The course content is based on the requirements of ISO 20121, the International Standard for Sustainable Event Management.
“ISO 20121 offers guidance and best practice to help you manage your event and control its social, economic and environmental impact. Every action counts, from relying on tap water instead of plastic bottles to encouraging use of public transport. You might find that it also helps you cut unnecessary costs."
This course is aimed at supervisors and managers from all areas of the live events and creative industries who want to oversee organisational sustainability improvements, including representatives from senior management, operations, HR, marketing, sales, logistics and compliance departments.
