Backstage Academy is currently embarking on the next phase in the institution’s history, and we are seeking to increase the range of degree courses we offer in response to significant industry demand. We are now looking to build the team who will pioneer the development and delivery of these new courses.

The post-holder will have a joint commitment to teaching on the undergraduate courses and acting as production manager for the institution’s projects/productions. 

As a lecturer, she/he/they are also expected to contribute to the development and teaching on undergraduate programmes and professional training courses in the areas relevant to their specialism. 

The successful candidate will have a specialism, in at least one of the following areas: 

  • Production Management 
  • Event Management 
  • Tour Management & Logistics 
  • Stage Management 

The successful candidate will be a high-energy self-starter who loves a challenge in a fast-paced performance-driven organisation, with previous experience of teaching and excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Previous experience working in the Live Events sector and the Creative Industries is essential.
