Backstage Academy is currently embarking on the next phase in the institution’s history, and we are seeking to increase the range of degree courses we offer in response to significant industry demand. We are now looking to build the team who will pioneer the development and delivery of these new courses.

The role has a primary commitment to teaching on the new degree courses, and contributing to the development and delivery of the new course curriculum, under the direction of the senior academic team. She/he/they will also be expected to contribute to the development and teaching of other programmes and professional training courses in areas relevant to their specialism. 

The successful candidate will have a specialism in at least one of the following areas: 

  1. Lighting Control & Programming 
  2. Audio Engineering & technologies 
  3. Show control & automation 
  4. Networked Systems & Integration 

The successful candidate will be a high-energy self-starter who loves a challenge in a fast-paced performance-driven organisation, with previous experience of teaching and excellent interpersonal & communication skills. Previous experience working in the Live Events sector and the Creative Industries is essential.
