The Digital Content Designer & Lecturer will take
the lead on all visual design & content support development
for research projects, and interactive & immersive technologies research
within XPLOR and share their knowledge as a Lecturer for Backstage Academy
students.
50% of this post will be as a Lecturer in Backstage
Academy, and 50% of this post directly contribute to the development and
delivery of the XPLOR centre, part-funded by European Regional Development
Funds (ERDF). In this role you will be directly reporting to both the Development
Director and the Academic Director
About
you
- You will be an
innovative thinker, able to demonstrate positive outcomes from the
implementation of your ideas, and be able to provide new and creative solutions
to problems.
- Strong
understanding of Immersive technology, game engines (ideally Unreal) and XR/VR/AR
- Understanding
of advanced visual media workflows and content development pipelines.
- Degree
qualified in relevant subject, with experience in teaching or training.
- Experience
of developing and participating in collaborative R&D projects with a
commercial element to them
- Keenly
interested in developing new systems or proving technologies in new
applications
